OFF TO THE PRINTERS!

I am delighted to announce that my new book is complete and will be sent to the printers this weekend. Many of you reading this will already have preordered your copy from my previous update, but for those that haven’t, this is the last chance to add your name to the list of reservations before the list for printed copies, closes later this week. Only this that have made a reservation, will be guaranteed their printed copy!
EARLIER UPDATE…
ABOUT THIS BOOK…
This is the first of a planned series of ‘Modelling An Icon’ publications that will cover famous aircraft from history and though the first three are planned to be WWII subjects (though even that is not set in stone!), the series will also include jet aircraft from the post-war period, with some very famous machines being part of the schedule. Though the list its nowhere near complete, the next year or so will see me deal with the Messerschmitt Me109 Gustav, Focke-Wulf Fw 190A, DH Mosquito, Hawker Hurricane, A-4 Skyhawk, F-4 Phantom and F-18 Hornet – or at least that’s the plan! Each book will be part of this numbered series, so if you are keen to follow along with everything that I do, you’ll not want to miss out on the first of this new collection!
Offered in landscape format, this new book will detail six individual builds in 1/72 and 1/48 using Tamiya, Airfix and Eduard base kits. From there, the authors take you through their projects, ideas, and techniques, step by step. On each page you will find plenty of informative text and interesting images to guide you through each featured build, with plenty of the former to read and the latter, to enjoy!
In terms of specifics, the book features the following kits:
Tamiya 1/48 Mk.I ‘Initial Tool’ – “A Generation Apart“
Tamiya 1/48 Mk.1 ‘Revised Tool’ – “An Icon, Reborn…“
Tamiya 1/48 PR.1 Conversion – “An Eye In The Sky“
Eduard 1/48 Mk.I ‘Weekend Edition’ – “A Weekend Warrior“
Airfix 1/72 Mk.Vc – “Uncle Sam’s Spitfire“
Airfix 1/48 Mk.Vb – “Buckeye Don”

For those that are wondering what this book offers in terms of content and style and how it will look once in your hands, here are some layouts that will give you a fair idea of its design and complexity and how those features look once formatted in ‘landscape’, rather than ‘portrait’ mode.

As with all of my books, this one is being offered as a strictly ‘print-to-order’ publication that will only be available direct from this website – it won’t be available from any other retailers. As the book will not be available as a printed volume from anywhere else, this week will be the final opportunity to order a copy, before this batch of preordered books is sent out to the printers at the end of the week. There may be another print-run at some point, but that is very much dependent on additional orders, so if you do want one, please visit his website at the following address, where you will find everything that you need to know should you wish to place an order.
