‘THE LEGACY PART THREE’ is detailed look at a group dioramas that were built five years ago, as well as over the last few months of this year, 2026. All have been finished using Francois Verlinden’s inspiration, ideas and techniques. For anyone that remembers those wonderful dioramas that appeared in the Tamiya catalogues of days gone by before finding their way into ‘The Verlinden’ Way collection of books, this series is the perfect homage to collect, keep and enjoy.
This is the third and likely, final part of a planned series of books focussing solely on Tamiya’s range of kits. This one deals with some of the remaining builds from the project that began in 2020, the majority of which up until now only appeared in the first two volumes of this series that many of you have already bought and enjoyed. If you did enjoy the first and second volumes, you really will love this new title and the models that it contains!
This new book will feature the following models, either as a standalone project, or as part of an additional diorama.
- Tamiya 3.7cm PaK 35/36
- Tamiya 2cm Flak 38
- Tamiya StuG IV
- Tamiya Kettenkrad
- Tamiya T-34/85
- Tamiya Sgt. York
- Tamiya 2cm Flakvierling
- Tamiya 1/20 Toyota Celica GR.5

Each chapter offers plenty of construction and painting tips, with easy to follow ideas that will help you to build the models and then perhaps, similar dioramas for your collection. Discussions are had regarding planning, detailing, painting, how to sculpt your own buildings and the use of these older models and their companion sets of figures and accessories. But more than that, the images, musings and techniques offered, will also be of use if you just want some ideas for other models of similar design and vintage. Or maybe, you just want to look at the pictures of the completed models — it’s all there!
Here are some of the pages from this new book to give you an idea of what you can expect from it. As you can see, the book has been printed in landscape format to allow you the reader, the chance to see all of then detail that you can find without it being lost over the edges of the pages and central gutter lines. I hope that you approve of this change in design!

HOW TO PAY FOR YOUR BOOK…
As with previous titles, this one is being created as a strictly limited-run product and as before, the price reflects this. Many of you will already have the other books in your collections so — hopefully — will know what this means in terms of quality and how enjoyable it is to own something that’s rather niche in its approach!
Here you will find payment links should you wish to purchase a copy of this new book.

Spencer Pollard, July 2026.

Good afternoon Spencer,
I have just gone to pre-order my copy of ‘THE LEGACY PART THREE’ via PayPal, and it is showing for a UK customer that you’re asking for £25.50, instead of the £26 listed in the above. Which figure would you like to receive?
Many thanks,
George
