ITALERI 1:32 TF-104G: A MISSILE MADE FOR TWO!

Two seats are often better than one and never has that been more so, than with the stunning Italeri 1/32 Starfighter!

Here’s my completed Italeri 1:32 TF-104G Starfighter. Other than the seat straps, the kit is built from the box, with all of the idiosyncrasies that that entails!

As you can see, I’ve tried to capture as closely as possible the look of a well-used aircraft and so attempted to paint it with as asymmetric a finish as possible, resisting the temptation to define all of the panel lines, settling instead on stained, faded paintwork that matched where possible, how the aircraft appeared in my reference shots, rather than how I imagined it to look…

Overall, I really enjoyed the kit, but there are a few issues, with the canopies being particularly ‘interesting’. I’m pleased though to finally have one of these aircraft in my collection. I hope you like it! đŸ™‚

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
