Do you want to read my new modelling guide, but haven’t ordered a hard-copy? Here’s how you can do that via the Pocketmags App…

Having released my first 3 modelling guides as Limited-Edition printed volumes, I recently announced that those aircraft titles were going to be available to download onto your phone, tablet and computer, via Pocketmags. If you haven’t see this announcement, please take a look at this digital book update here you will find plenty of additional information.

Those books are still available to download at the following Pocketmags address:

Following on from that update, I’m now delighted to announce that for the first time, I’m offering a digitised version of my latest book “Modelling An Icon: Spitfire” to coincide with the release of the printed volume that was posted out this week, giving readers the option to choose between either version to suit their own personal needs. This will now allow readers who don’t have access to a hard copy, the chance to read the book no matter where they are in the world, at a cost that is significantly lower than that asked for a printed version, along with its postage.

SO YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD THIS BOOK: WHAT NEXT?!

First things first, you need to download the Pocketmags App to your phone, tablet or desktop computer via your relevant App Store. The site will then ask you to simply enter your email address and a password and you are good to go!

Once logged-in, you will have access to all of the books that you could wish for, including a wide range of modelling titles.

With your login registered you can simply hop on over to The Modeller’s Reference Library (https://pocketmags.com/modellers-reference-library-magazine) where you will find my books, or alternatively, click the following link, which will take you directly to where you want to go!

FINAL THOUGHTS…

The release of these books as digitised versions will I feel, offer modellers otherwise unable to access the printed versions, the chance to read each one without the extra cost of shipping that many around the world have to suffer. For readers outside of the UK and EU regions, the cost of a download is less than half of that asked for a printed copy and for some in places such as the far East or Australia, the cost drops to almost a third – that’s a massive saving!

But more than that, by downloading these books, you are really helping to ensure that I can keep working on modelling projects and books that I know you enjoy seeing. Each purchase, whether a hard-copy or a download, goes a very long way to ensuring the lights stay on and my modelling knives stay sharp!

Thank you all so much for reading this and supporting me as you all have. It really means a lot!

Now, with this done, I have to prepare for all remaining books to be uploaded – and that includes those on the Harrier, Tomcat, Tornado and Starfighter. How exciting is that?!

BEFORE I GO!

If you have enjoyed seeing this update and reading my thoughts, please subscribe to this page and perhaps take some time to scroll through its contents – you can even leave comments under each update! It really will help me out and allow me more opportunity to grow its contents and continue with my work within the hobby and industry! If you REALLY like it, consider sharing it with your friends – the more people that see it, the more fun we will have! Thanks a lot!

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
