Here is my build of the brand-new Eduard 1/48 P-51D Mustang that replicates Freddie Ohr’s mount from the 52nd Fighter Group.
This is a very fine kit that’s a lot of fun to build and actually, a bit of a challenge to paint – especially in this scheme. Once again, I’ve tried to recreate the look and feel of the natural metal fuselage and then painted wings and trim and then, tried to capture their weathered look without overdoing it – I hope I’ve achieved that aim!

This one will form a very long review in the October 2019 issue of Model Airplane International. In the meantime, I really hope you like seeing this impressive new kit, built and painted.

EDUARD

Spencer: Such a beautiful kit. I asked myself this week,”what will that beauty look like when Spencer Pollard builds it?” Now we have the answer. Great build. Thanks for sharing!
