And with that, all of my work for this year is done, dusted and delivered and so for the next few weeks, I’m officially on leave.

This has been a very busy year that ended with a cluster of complex builds that though enjoyable, proved to be very time consuming: my F-15A prototype conversion and the ICM Marauder that I completed for Scale Model World. I’m not complaining, because this is let’s face it a dream job, but after a while you do need the break to recharge the batteries and top up your enthusiasm once more.

With time off it gives me the chance to perhaps do something for myself without a need to take images for publication. I have a few things I fancy tackling, most notably one of Italeri’s 1/24 trucks, but that will all depend on other things such as preparing for Christmas and the pull of my PlayStation!

I’m certainly not planning to push myself into anything of note, so if the mood takes me I may go with it – if not, I’ll just put my feet up and watch the world go by, red wine or beer in hand…
Away from actually building models I still plan to keep up with this diary, so may be able to deviate from just daily ramblings and actually discuss things to do with the hobby in more depth for a while. Hopefully, that will keep your interest up because let’s face it, just writing that I’ve done nothing but eat, drink and sit in front of the telly is not going to be very interesting! Who knows, I may even find that truck to build – now won’t that be different!
See you tomorrow.

Would be great to follow the truck build if it goes ahead. Happy Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.
