A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: SKYHAWK BOOK OFF TO PRINT…

With my book done, it's back to building and painting once more...

14th May 2025

A short diary entry today to let you all know (or rather those that have bought a copy!) that my new Skyhawk book is at the printers and will be returned early next week. With all of the packing materials, bags and envelopes also on their way, I plan to have the book out of my hands week beginning the 26th of May. All being well, everyone will have their copies by the end of that week in the UK, and the start of June for all other orders.

With the book now done, my focus is going to return to the commissioned work I am part way through and with a bit of luck, I may also have some time to look at the Airfix Jaguar once more. Truth be told this week has been so up and down, my focus has not been what I would have liked it to be, so I hope to get back on track as soon as possible. Certainly, with exciting kit releases now coming out of the Japanese Toy Fair, I’m looking forward to what the next few months have in store. Still no news of a 1/24 Harrier GR.9 though, but we can live in hope!

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
