THE LEGACY COLLECTION PART TWO

Francois Verlinden's models make a surprise appearance!

With orders now coming in for my new book, I’m happy to announce some inclusions that I hope will please modellers keen to grab a copy.

The first, is that the book will include a detailed description of my restoration of two actual Verlinden models, the first of which is Francois’s classic Tamiya M1 Abrams that he built for ‘The Verlinden Way Volume VI’ and his diorama “Abrams’ Exercise“.

Though the model appeared in that book, my new feature is I believe the most detailed look at this model, the way it was originally painted and how, 36 years after it was built, the model was brought back from the dead. If you are a fan of Verlinden’s work, you’ll want to see more of this model!

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
