This is a slightly extended film (which is why it’s taken so long to sort out today!) that deals with SMW and then Tamiya’s new 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I. I hope you like it and if you do, let your friends know about it!
I hope you enjoy it…
Where building models, is all we ever want to do!
Tamiya 1:48 Spitfire and other nonsense...
Spencer:
Between your vid and Brett’s you’re leaving no choice to me but to spend more money to build another superlative Tamiya kit. Silly question: is it possible that Tamiya is re-booting it’s entire 1/48 A/C range? A6M5 was all new, now the Spit. Is there any reason to think that they may new tool the entire range or the most popular aircraft in that range? For instance, will we get a new P-51 B with an accurate cockpit? Might we see a new D model with wings that don’t require filling and have accurate wheel wells? If they release a new tool Brewster Buffalo, Ki 84 Frank or Zero with floats I think we will have our answer.
Will you do a Spitfire book? Just asking. This kit, Eduard’s Mk. 16, Airfix’ Mk 19 would all be great subjects.
