8th December 2025
It’s certainly been a different day, today.
Liz has been laid up in bed with what looks like flu for a few days, so I’ve been rather more concerned with her wellbeing than other things. I hate to see her so unwell, so although I’ve tried to keep out of the way, I have continually checked to see if she needs anything to get her back on her feet.
The day started off in a most odd manner. Though I went to bed relatively early last night, I ate late, so found myself awake at around 1.45am, watching the clock for the next three and a half hours. Falling asleep not much before 6, I was woken by Liz at 11.15, who by this point was concerned about my wellbeing! How the tables had turned! Truth be told it took some time to come around, so I’m hoping I get more sleep tonight…
With Liz sleeping most of the day I busied myself with the ‘109 as the rain once again created pretty patterns on my window panes, wind picking up as the afternoon wore on. The weather really has been shocking over the last few days, with no end to the gloom looking likely over the coming week or so. Thankfully, we have no football until next weekend, so hopefully it will, along with Liz’s flu, clear up so we can enjoy another visit to the Coventry Building Society Arena.
The last hour or so has seen me paint the last of the ‘109’s details, so I should be able to finish it off by end of play, Monday. I’m certainly excited to show you this new build and share some of my thoughts on what has been, I must say, one of the most engaging and relaxing builds I’ve completed in many years. I hope you like the results as much as I’ve enjoyed the project up until now.
See you tomorrow.

It’s the things we do for our other halves. Good on you sir.
