A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: A DAY OFF…

Ready to work on the Aerocraft Miles M.52, today has been a welcome period of relaxation...

6th April 2025

With my new schedule of work for this month beginning tomorrow, I’ve had a welcome day off to prepare for the construction and painting of Aerocraft’s 1/32 Miles M.52, tomorrow morning. This should be a fun project that will result in a miniature of what could have a been a very important aircraft, had a paper project, morphed into a machine that actually took flight. The question though for today is: shall I paint it in natural metal, or will it be more fun in bright, gloss, yellow?

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!

I think the aluminum finish would look great with several panels being of different shades. Plus I do not like painting yellow so I think it would be easier to do the aluminum finish. LoL

I think you meant Miles M.52 rather than the M.32 mentioned in the article. I vote Yellow btw.
