Last week the Tornado book was resent to the printers for a limited edition print run that would allow some of you that missed out earlier in the year to grab a copy for your libraries. This morning, the printers have emailed me to let me know that due to the volume of work they are doing leading up to Christmas, the book would not be returned to me this week, but would now be sent out towards the end of next week, instead. What that means in reality, is that I am now unlikely to hit the deadline for final post for any orders outside of the UK (and even those in the UK depend on when they arrive back from the printers) without books getting caught up in Christmas post with all of the risks that that entails.
As a result of this pushback, I’m dropping this on here to let everyone know that their orders have been confirmed and that they will receive their books, but in order to ensure safe transit, I will not be posting them out until after Christmas. Obviously, I wanted everyone to get their copies as soon as possible, but having had a number of books go missing this year, I am keen to make sure that that doesn’t happen again! I also understand that having paid in advance for books that now will not arrive before Christmas, this will be annoying, but I hope that you will understand why this is necessary.
If anyone is unhappy with that arrangement, please get in touch with me and I’ll see what I can do, but as it stands, I think that this is the safest course of action given how close to Christmas it will be before they arrive back.
Thanks for reading this and thanks for your continued interest in my work!
So glad I ordered my copy in advance last year. It is the pinnacle of building the Tornado GR.4. Thanks Spencer for allowing other modelers the experience.
Also, as I understand it, their are some substantial delays in the press-works in Europe…especially coming from Germany, or at least that is what Rinaldi press is reporting…….it’s going to be nearly one year before I get my order from them.
