18th February 2026
A day away from the studio to focus on collating material for some new books I hope to complete this year.
Having completed the Jaguar book at the end of 2025, I’m looking at some new projects, a number of which will combine in a single volume, extant material already on file as well as publications that will focus on newer, original builds.
This morning I spent a few hours creating new folders for all of my articles so that I had an idea of where I was in terms of material on file and how that material would come together to create some coherent titles. It took rather longer than I imagined to be honest, but now that it’s done I have plenty of ideas going forward.

One of those is a book on be Meteor F.8/FR.9 that will combine three features on the Airfix 1/72 and 1/48 kits, as well as the 1/32 Revell kit that I’m in the process of completing. My plan is to provide plenty of inspiration for anyone keen to build this aircraft in miniature, from assemble through detailing and on to painting.

My next book though is likely to be one focussing on my detailed conversion of the Airfix 1/24 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII. I have more than enough material to create a very detailed look at this kit and the model that I completed from it. All being well I’ll have a cover to show you within the next week or so, with presales being opened before the end of March.
So a busy day that allowed me to focus on my own work for a while. I’m hopeful that my plans will be welcomed by modellers keen to see more of my work, or who are just happy to keep supporting me through the next 12 months! Well, that’s the plan! Time will tell if my hopes come to fruition…
See you tomorrow.
