A nice simple update before I go out to watch the football. I’ve spent all of today painting the ASK seat that I bought for my Revell Meteor F.8 build, time I felt would be well-spent trying to finish it as completely and as accurately, as possible.
It was certainly a long job, taking around seven hours to paint, techniques that I would use for figures being used to bring out all of the details that ASK had incorporated into their design. This was particularly so when it came to the seat straps, their hugely complex and intricate details needing great care to paint.
So with the seat complete, I can wrap up the cockpit and then start to complete the fuselage and wings. The next job will be to paint the gear bays and engines, both of which I expect to be as time consuming as the cockpit! Still, it will be worth it I am sure, those details being highlights within what is rapidly becoming one of my favourite builds of recent times.
See you tomorrow.

Looks AWESOME! How did you do the ejection handle loops?

As with most ejection seats, alot of work and time consuming. The seat looks fantastic, the aftermarket provides the best seats but to make them look realistic…..
