A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: A RELAXING SUNDAY…

A day of doing very little…

30th November 2025

I’d like to say I had plans for today. I didn’t. I’d like to say I was busy with work.. I wasn’t. What I did and what I was, involved jobs around the house, seeing my mum and watching football on the TV. Oh and I also had a very pleasant afternoon nap. That was it, the sum total of my Sunday activities.

The morning sees me return to work and start the run-in to Christmas. It shouldn’t be too arduous, the jobs left to do being easy and far from time consuming, a far cry from those that have typified this year’s projects. It shouldn’t all be rather, well, fun!

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!

Tamiya’s Bf 109G-6 is a lovely kit, one of the most accurate representations around. I look forward to building mine, perhaps as a multi-scale romp through 1/48, 1/32 and 1/24 versions while testing my new Gaahleri airbrushes….. (You are costing me a lot of money…..)
