A very long day that has only just ended at 9.30pm! Can I sleep yet?!
First things first. Yesterday I announced that I was considering a reprint of both of my Century Series books after some recently renewed interest. It would appear that there is enough of you out there to make a reprint worthwhile, so I’ll be doing that in the morning, in time I hope for Scale Model World in ten days time. I will of course publish some ordering info in here when the reprint is in motion.
Speaking of SMW, I’m currently mired in trying to get the Marauder done for the show, a large chunk of which I painted today. Though I like to be as precise as possible with these builds, occasionally deadlines tighten to a point where I have to be rather less precious about the quality of the paintwork and just get it done. This is one of those builds, where interior decoration takes a back seat to neat airframe construction and painting.
So today I batch-painted almost everything that could be considered detail and though I have a few hours of work still to do inside the fuselage, I’m on track to bringing the airframe together tomorrow as planned. Hopefully my sprint to the finish line won’t involve too many compromises, especially as I’m planning a natural metal finish! I really don’t make life easy for myself, do I?!
