A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: TIME FLIES…

21st September 2025

This time last week we were in Bordeaux, enjoying the sub pens and the glorious food. That seems like five minutes ago. It also seems like five minutes ago that we watched the Christmas lights being switched on last year, a few weeks after the IPMS Scale Model World and yet here we are, end of September, only a couple of months away from repeating the trick.

I guess my thoughts today are about the passage of time and how it goes so fast, you have to make the most of it. Enjoy being with friends. Do the things you love and give over what little time we have on this floating rock to what makes you happy and ignore as best you can, those who seek to divide us and make us miserable.

Like I say: time flies.

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
