A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: STOKE ON TRENT MODEL SHOW 2025

It’s showtime!

31st August 2025

I don’t attend too many model shows throughout the year, so it’s always a pleasure when I get the chance, to leave the studio, and spend time with other modellers! Today, I travelled the short distance to the Stafford County Showground for the Stoke On Trent Model show.

Small, but perfectly formed, the show is always well-organised, friendly and more than worth a visit. Today, I was able to catch up with some friends, see the models on show and though I only bought a coffee, peruse some of the trade stands at the event.

Here are some of the models that caught my eye at the show. I hope you enjoy seeing them on here, as much as much as I enjoyed seeing them in person.

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
