26th July 2025
As mentioned yesterday, today has all been about family. With my brother over from Brisbane, we had everyone round for some food and drink, to chat and enjoy spending time together before he and his family go home on Monday.
Sitting here now everyone has gone home, I’m struck by the thought that we simply don’t do this kind of thing often enough and with time passing by in the blink of an eye, moments spent with loved ones are precious and should be held on to where possible. Maybe there’s a lesson in that for us all?
See you tomorrow.

There’s family we enjoy and wish we could see them more, a blessing. Then there’s family we don’t enjoy, a curse, but have to put up with, can’t choose family like we can friends, though there’s the occasional “friend” we wish we never met and won’t get the hint.
I’ll stop everything to visit with family and friends that I don’t get to see very often, their blessings that shouldn’t be ignored but cherished.
