I can now confirm that after weeks of work and long periods of disruption, my Jaguar book is now finished ready for the printers.
21st July 2025
I’m writing this is the middle of what can only be described as a biblical rainstorm. It started off around an hour and a half ago (just as we were leaving to do the weekly shop) and has not stopped, since. The rain has been so torrential (in fact, it still is) that roads in our town are already flooded, with some parts under what looks to be around a foot of water and it’s showing no sign of abating. Pubs are closed, the high street is under water and our local Facebook pages are filled with images of water running through the streets. I really hope that everyone stays safe and that the damage is not too great. Awful.

Staying on topic, at least for a little while, I can now confirm that after weeks of work and long periods of disruption, my Jaguar book is now finished ready for the printers. All I have to do is complete the back cover and a few captions and then proofread the contents, before uploading the files, which will happen Wednesday/Thursday of this week.
If you would like to place a last minute order, please check out my earlier post.
I would like to offer my apologies for the delay in getting this one off to the printers and would like in turn, to thank everyone who has bought a copy for their patience. I know that waiting for something to come out can be burdensome, so I hope that you are happy with my work and enjoy the book when you finally have it in your hands during mid August.

Along with that work, I’ve also finished the painting of my F-35C. All that remains is to weather it and then glue everything together. So far it’s looking pretty good, though there are a couple of slightly ragged areas where my need to rush the paintwork has resulted in less than perfect work. I doubt anyone but me will notice the mistakes, but it is still annoying that everything was not quite how I wanted it to be! No doubt the weathering will cover up some of the issues, but I’d still rather it be close to presentable at this point, rather than have to chase my tail over the next few days!
And finally…

Being on Jadlam’s mailing list can sometimes be a curse when I’m trying to be good. Most of the time I simple scan over the new releases and move on, but when one dropped on my desktop on Sunday announcing that they had some limited stock of the new UMA 1/48 AV-8B II Plus, I couldn’t pass it buy! A quick order and one was despatched a day later. All being well it should arrive on Wednesday, so when it does, I’ll let you know what I think of it! I promise to be good for the rest of the year!
So, time for some food and a glass of wine. Hopefully, this rain will soon pass by – I’m not sure how much more water our little town can endure…
See you tomorrow.
