18th June 2025
Today’s update will be a pretty short one as I’ve simply completed the interior of the F-35C! Having painted much of it yesterday, today was all about dealing with some of the missing details and then working on the intakes and exterior surfaces, ready for everything to be joined in the morning.
I have to say that although time-consuming, I’ve really enjoyed working on the model and bringing into play some materials that I haven’t really used before. Amongst those were some of AMMO’s superb metallics, their Silver being a particularly pleasing paint that recreates chrome finishes with ease. This was used to paint the hydraulic ram pistons that form part of the undercarriage bay, as well as some of the metallic pipes, it’s ease of application and smooth shiny finish, being very realistic once in place.
In the morning I’ll bring all of the parts together to create fully-formed airframe. I then plan on working on the Jaguar and its book, before returning to the F-35 next month.
With it being so late I’m going to call it a day for today, but look forward to seeing you all again in the morning. Who knows I may have some more pictures to show you of the F-35 and Jaguar, as well as a few of a new kit that arrived today, the latter a very pleasing new release that I’m sure you will enjoy seeing…
See you in the morning.
