I’ve come to the conclusion that when my final day arrives, I won’t be thinking I wish I’d spent more time building that 1/35 Panther, I’ll be glad I spent time with family and the friends I love.
25th April 2025
With the final day of the Easter school holiday upon us, I decided today to take some time off to join my wife in taking the grand kids out to a local farm to feed the animals, drink coffee and sample the ice cream for which it is now rather well known!

It’s days like this that I have as the years have passed by, grown to love more and more. Though I enjoy spending my life building my models, I’ve come to the conclusion that when my final day arrives, I won’t be thinking I wish I’d spent more time building that 1/35 Panther, I’ll be glad I spent time with family and the friends I love. It’s now a balancing act where I work as hard as I can, but when the chance comes you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be out with family and friends, enjoying life and all it offers, and not sitting at my bench building models 24/7.
So today we fed the animals, had ice cream and enjoyed a few hours in the sun. Tomorrow will be much the same, plans being to work on the garden before watching the Coventry vs Luton game. I may still work on some new projects, but that’s not a priority this weekend whilst the sun shines and more engaging pursuits are there to enjoy.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Spence, I for my part can say that the occasional cock-up is often more inspiring than smooth sailing all…
