A MODELMAKER’S LIFE: A DAY OF FOOTBALL AND BUZZ LIGHTYEAR…

Saturdays are there to recharge your batteries, so that's exactly what I chose to do...

5th April 2025

Today has seen nothing in the way of model related activities, time instead being taken up with watching Coventry City at the CBS Arena. Not the result we wanted (we lost to Burnley thanks to two shockingly gifted goals) it was nevertheless a nice day in the sunshine with family and friends.

Football over for the day, and not wanting anything I needed to get my head into, I’m watching Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear, which seems the perfect antidote to the seriousness of the world around us.

See you tomorrow.

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!

LOL -Spencer watched grass grow then watched movie that requires no thinking, must have had too many thoughts stuck in his head. I’m not sure I could nap for that long, both “activities would have bored me to sleep. Still I does remind me that real football is 5 months away, but first the NFL Stanley Cup!
