AIRFIX 2025 RANGE LAUNCH

Here is the complete rundown of this years Airfix kit releases, with detailed descriptions and images.

As with every product range announcement, the most eagerly awaited category is the new moulds that we have to offer, increasing the benchmark of detail each time. Whether you have stepped up in the skill department of the scale modelling hobby or are an advanced builder, we are proud to announce multiple new mould releases, both within 1:72 and 1:48 scale.

The Excitement is Building…

“The Airfix team are delighted to be bringing you our latest range of model kits which we hope will include something for every modelling taste. Our ever-popular Vintage Classics range looks forward to welcoming the introduction of several famous Airfix kits, such as the Cold War SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1 and Westland Puma HC.1, however, if life on the ocean waves is more your thing, we have both the luxury of the Boeing 314 Clipper and the threat posed by the sinister German E-Boat.

We’re proud to be taking Airfix into 2025 with a range of kits intended to delight and inspire, our scale representations of some of the most exciting machines ever produced by man. Of course, there’s always the chance of the odd kit surprise along the way, so don’t forget to visit the Airfix website regularly throughout the year.

With the adventure just beginning, the future of modelling has never been more exciting!”

Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!

Superb, absolutely superb. And we all know there will be further releases later in the year. Well done Airfix. They have delivered one of their ‘most wanted’ with the Jag, filled a hole in the market with the TR.9 Spitfire, a beautiful new Wessex, and I’m delighted to see the boats re-released. Stalwart, Mk.1 Ferret…the list goes on and on. Loud applause from this member of the audience, it may even become a standing ovation when the plastic appears. Bravo!

A pretty good haul, I thought…rapt to see a uniquely British vehicle like the Stalwart in 1/35, the return of old friends in the form of the 1/72 boats, and even a non-Spit person like me is probs in for the two-seat Spitfire.

I was always quite comfortable with the fact that the Airfix announcement would have nothing to interest me. As long as the brand continued I’m fine with it bringing new people to the hobby. Then we got the Ferret Mk2 and I’m getting interested. Now I’m seeing the Ferret Mk1 and the Stalwart, and I’m now looking forward to the Airfix announcements. Hopefully we’re going to see more post-war British Military hardware, and with the sad closure of Accurate Armour, there’s a tremendous opportunity for a volume producer to fill the void. Finger’s crossed

I’m totally the wrong person to ask. Although I Admin a Modelling Group which has Airfix in the title, we have no connection with the company, nor do we get any advance notice of new products. We use Airfix as a generic description of a model kit, rather like how all vacuum cleaners are called Hoovers. Sorry I can’t help.
