In 2016, Tamiya released the first of its family of 1/48 Tomcat kits. Rightly hailed as benchmark products that set the standard for kits of aircraft in that scale, they became overnight sensations. Keen to jump on the bandwagon, I built the first three releases, collating the articles that I created into a single monograph that modellers could buy to help with their projects. That book was released in 2018 and though it was reprinted just after, it hasn’t been available from me since early 2020 – that is, until now.
Following repeated requests to see this book once again in print, I’ve decided to carry out another ‘print-to-order’ run for those that missed out the first time around. As with previous titles, this one is being created as a strictly limited-run product and as before, the price reflects this. Many of you will already have the other books in your collections so – hopefully – will know what this means in terms of quality and how enjoyable it is to own something that’s rather niche in its approach! Though each one is more expensive than comparable titles, I believe that they are books that you will enjoy and want to keep as part of your collections.
