Following on from the release of my earlier titles, I have now created a detailed guide to the building and painting of the Hunter in miniature, that offers plenty of tips, tricks and techniques across a range of different models, all based on the Airfix 1/48 kit.

BUY YOUR COPY NOW!

Before I begin, please can you ensure that you read all of the following update, as it contains plenty of important information!

Many of you have already reserved copies of this book, so now, with the models complete and content ready to be finalised and sent to the printers, you have the chance to complete your order and buy your copy. Below you will find all of the payment details that will allow you to order your exclusive copy of this exciting new book.

HOW TO PAY FOR YOUR BOOK…

As with previous titles, this one is being created as a strictly limited-run product and as before, the price reflects this. Many of you will already have the other books in your collections so – hopefully – will know what this means in terms of quality and how enjoyable it is to own something that’s rather niche in its approach! Though each one is more expensive than comparable titles, I believe that they are books that you will enjoy and want to keep as part of your collections.

Here you will find payment links for you to purchase a copy of this new book.

UK Orders including postage and packing: £25 – PayPal.Me/DavidP671/25

DETAILS, DETAILS…

When using the Paypal links, PLEASE can you ensure that you leave your full name and postal address so that I can complete my ordering list ready to have the books sent out to you. Often, I see only screen names and no other details, so you must complete the details as accurately as possible. Without all of your information, including you full name and postal address, I can’t track you down and complete the order. Can you also confirm that you have placed your order and made your payment via email, using the email address seen below. This will allow me to confirm your payment with you and request any additional information should it be required. Because of the way that PayPal reveals information on their site, sometimes I won’t see your address or email, so please be sure to send your address  – without it, I can’t send your book out!

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM YOUR NEW HUNTER MODELLING GUIDE?

This brand-new, 52 page book will feature three different models, these being as follows:

  • Hunter F.6, 79 Squadron, based at RAF Brawdy, South Wales. This model is built simply from the box, showing how you can create something pleasing with basic tools, materials and techniques.
  • Hunter F.6, XE601, from the A&AEE. This is my detailing feature, revealing how to add plenty of additional detail using scratchbuilding techniques and workshop materials.
  • Hunter T.Mk.7, No. 43 Squadron, RAF Leuchars, Fife, Scotland. This feature will please the more advanced modeller, taking them through the combination of Airfix and Aerocraft kits to create an attractive, two-seat trainer. Check out my previous update ‘Hawker Hunter T.7: A T-Bird In Miniature’, for further details of this model).

Along with the modelling chapters, the book will feature some welcome, full-sized reference material, with an FR.10 (see Airfix website update for further details) and T.Mk.7 coming under the glare of the photographer’s lens. All of the chapters deal in-depth with their subjects, offering everything that ran on rails, as well as discussing things that certainly did not, as you can see in one of my earlier updates on this page: The Wood For The Trees

Here are some of the pages from the book to give you an idea of what to expect.

AND THAT’S IT… ALMOST.

As before, I would really like to thanks you all for taking the time to read this and for supporting my endeavours with these books and my wider modelling. By purchasing one of these books, either printed or digitally, you are helping to keep the lights on and allowing me to continue with projects that I know that you all enjoy seeing.

Thanks you all so much and I’ll see you again soon!

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!
