MODELLING AN ICON

Are you planning to build a Spitfire? If you are, this is the book that you need to help you out!

The idea here is to build on the books that I’ve already released, taking a look at newer kits that have been released since the first modelling guide was released a few years back.

Hi everyone!

With the summer now rolling on and new projects being worked on, here is my new book and the second time that I’ve looked at the iconic Spitfire. This is part 1 of a new series of titles under the heading “Modelling An Icon” dedicated to WWII aircraft, with the Gustav, Fw190A, Mustang and Thunderbolt, all likely to appear as part of an ongoing project, the first two in that list, before the end of the year.

The idea here is to build on the books that I’ve already released, taking a look at newer kits that have been released since the first modelling guide was released a few years back. Produced in landscape format, the pages will allow the models to be seen ‘full size, so you can appreciate how they would look should you see them at a model show or in my display case. Each page will be crammed with written text and detailed images, that take you through every step on the way to completion of each model. Hopefully, that will reveal many of the details and finishing ideas that are discussed within the pages of these revealing monographs.

“Spitfire” is going to be released within the next month, so if as usual, you would like to be placed on the reserve list, please let me know in the comments below! This is seen as perhaps the most obvious choice, but perhaps one that is still relevant given its focus on the Mk.I and Mk.V variants. All being well, I hope to look at later machines (including the Seafire family) in a later volume that I know will excite fans of this famous aircraft.

I hope that you like the look of this one and look forward to seeing it arrive very shortly. I will; be posting a full guide to the book at the weekend, will plenty of information on its contents and how you can grab a copy. This will be a popular book, so please, if you want a copy, please let me know!

Thanks for joining in and have a great day!
