EDUARD 1:48 FW190A-3, DONE AND DUSTED!

If you are looking for a very simple kit to enjoy, Eduard's family of FW190s might be just what you are looking for...

Well, just in time for the Cosford show at the weekend, my rendition of the new Eduard Focke-Wulfe Fw190A-3 is done and dusted.

Based on a famous aircraft that was accidentally handed over to the RAF after the pilot landed at the wrong airfield following a mission, I’ve tried to recreate as closely as possible how the real aircraft looked; I’m not sure I’ve fully succeeded, but I like it nonetheless – I hope that you do to! Decals were found in my spares collection, so are no strictly perfect, but I think they are close!

EDUARD

Focke Wulf Fw190A-3 ‘Profipack’

I'm formerly the editor in charge of Military In Scale magazine and latterly, Model Airplane International. Editing duties to one side, I'm now a full-time modelmaker with Doolittle Media, working to supply modelling articles and material for a number of their group titles, including MAI and Tamiya Model Magazine International. I'm also an avid fan of Assassin's creed, Coventry City FC and when the mood takes me, a drummer of only passing skill. Here though, you'll find what I do best: build models and occassionally, write about them!

Great job as usual, Spencer! I look forward to building this kit. The detail Eduard can mold into plastic astonishes me.

Spencer: Your usual brand of near perfection. I say “near perfection” so nobody accuses me of fawning. Thanks for the look and for the assessment of the Eduard kit. I’ll look one up when/if I catch up.
